What is soft LED module?
The soft module is relative to the conventional LED display module. The conventional module is made of a rigid PCB board and a bottom shell mask, without any softness, and a rigid board. In the case of arcs and bends, either it cannot be used, or special processes such as cutting corners are required to make it, but the cost will increase a lot, and the process is not perfect.
The led soft module was developed in order to solve the above problems. The led soft module is also called the led flexible screen, and the led soft screen is relatively soft, foldable and bendable.
The LED soft module is the same as the conventional LED electronic screen in terms of display principle. The difference is that the flexible PCB and bottom shell mask are used, which makes the module extremely soft and can be folded at 120 degrees.
So where are the LED soft modules used?
- Curved screen
If it is an inner arc-shaped led display screen and the arc is not very large, it is better to do it, as long as the steel structure of the display screen is made into an arc shape and installed with a conventional indoor display module. However, if the inner arc is relatively large, or the outer arc is relatively large, then the conventional display module cannot be produced, and the LED soft module is very good.
- Cylindrical screen
In some hotels, meeting rooms, bars, etc., there are many pillars in the lobby that are cylindrical. Designers will design these pillars into display screens and play some special videos to enhance the decoration level or create a special atmosphere. Conventional screens are very complicated to make, while LED soft modules are handy.
- Special shapes such as waves and ribbons
The location of some special shapes of waves and ribbons is also a concept often adopted by designers. How to realize it really needs to be done by LED display manufacturers. After a long road of exploration, LED soft modules have successfully solved this problem.
Compared with the special-shaped screen, the LED soft module has the following four advantages:
- Compared with the traditional PCB material, it has higher hardness. The flexible FPC circuit board made of flexible insulating base material has high-strength compression and distortion resistance;
- Most of the installation methods are magnetic, which is convenient and quick to install, easy to shape, firm and reliable;
- Good ductility, can be arbitrarily shaped, in which the cylindrical screen has high brushing performance, can be hoisted, seated, hung, etc., to meet the requirements of the site to the greatest extent;
- High quality, single point maintenance can be realized, low maintenance cost; high height, low rate of dead lights, energy saving and power saving, etc.
All in all,there are many applications of led soft modules, mainly because the modules are relatively soft, foldable and bendable. As long as your ideas can be achieved with this feature, you can use them. The led soft modules are more than conventional LED displays.
